We are currently recruiting for an Associate, Working Capital Origination (one‑year contract). Our Securitised Products and Supply Chain Finance Division in Amsterdam or London is looking for a dynamic professional to support the origination and execution of new and renewed client Supply Chain Finance (SCF) transactions and other working capital products.
The Role Includes the Following:
- Support Origination of new Supply Chain Finance and Structured Supply Chain Finance transactions and associated working capital products like pre‑payments and Inventory Finance, and develop the capability to articulate MUFG supply chain finance proposition to clients.
- Prepare marketing materials to assist in origination of new SCF transactions with particular focus on O&D transactions.
- Support internal awareness of SCF product in EMEA and assist with growth in new markets such as the Middle East.
- Work closely with the US and Asian teams to prepare joint global marketing materials and develop deal pipeline.
- Support growth of SCF product through New Product Approvals.
- Prepare and present Deal Screening submissions and prepare Structural Risk Memoranda in respect of new and renewed transactions for the Supply Chain Finance portfolio (including Inventory Finance and other working capital products when required).
- Manage the documentation process, review, discuss/liaise with internal and external legal counsel (as appropriate), and negotiate with the client, relevant documentation for renewal and amendments for allocated transactions in compliance with the bank’s credit and operation rules.
- Review transaction documentation and prepare the pre‑signing and post‑closing checklists to ensure smooth and accurate and efficient transfer of monitoring tasks to the monitoring team.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of partnerships with credit, relationship teams, and other product teams, including support functions within MUFG.
- Lead and/or contribute to internal projects / strategic initiatives designed to improve the GCIB Securitised Products and Supply Chain Finance team and Bank’s efficiency and performance.
- Update Deal Books post‑closing / amendment as required to maintain the team deal database.
- Provide guidance to junior colleagues in relation to specific projects or tasks.
- Assist in maintaining a record of SCF portfolio revenues, exposure, utilisation and profitability.
In Order to Be Successful in the Role, You Will Need the Following:
- Relevant experience (minimum 3 years) and knowledge of Supply Chain Finance product and other Working Capital products such as Receivables Purchase solutions, pre‑payments and Inventory Finance (particularly in the EMEA region).
- Degree in Finance, Economics or any other relevant study.
- Experience in SCF Origination is a preference.
- Knowledge of the competitor landscape within SCF/ Working Capital solution space.
- Commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of credit, risk management, market and legal aspects of receivables and payables products.
- Excellent knowledge and skill working with Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Fluency in Dutch, German or French (and/or other European languages) is desirable.
