MUFG is seeking to appoint a Regional Treasury and Trade Solutions Manager within its Transaction Banking division in London. This role presents an unparalleled opportunity for you to assume a central position in advancing the future of transaction banking throughout the United Kingdom and the broader EMEA region. You will be entrusted with delivering sophisticated treasury, cash, liquidity, and trade finance solutions to a diverse array of multinational clients.
What you’ll do:
- Identify new commercial prospects through close cooperation with coverage partners whilst nurturing established relationships to maximise revenue generation.
- Devise tailored strategies for each client by leveraging market intelligence alongside advanced product expertise.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of sophisticated solutions that address evolving regulatory imperatives.
- Champion exemplary pipeline management practices and cross‑selling initiatives, assisting in diversifying income streams whilst upholding rigorous compliance standards.

- Enhance revenues from existing clients by optimising returns from cash management, liquidity management, and trade financing services within your assigned portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with coverage partners across EMEA to identify new business opportunities with both prospective clients and those already engaged with the institution, ensuring alignment with regional and global objectives.
- Formulate and implement bespoke client strategies for your portfolio by engaging in account planning, wallet progression analysis, and solution identification in concert with product specialists.
- Exemplify best practices in pipeline management by achieving individual targets across all cash and liquidity management products while serving as a model for colleagues within the wider team.
- Broaden revenue streams by promoting the full suite of cash management, liquidity management, and trade finance products rather than focusing solely on single‑product sales.
- Lead responses to complex regional and global RFIs/RFPs by orchestrating input from multiple functions across transaction banking to deliver compelling proposals.
- Foster robust working relationships with key stakeholders including product teams, client implementation specialists, risk managers, coverage bankers, compliance officers, legal advisors, and others both within EMEA and globally.
- Serve as the first line of defence for compliance, legal, and risk matters related to cash and liquidity management transactions within your portfolio; proactively elevate issues and contribute to ongoing enhancement of risk frameworks.
- Provide guidance or training to colleagues and internal stakeholders to elevate understanding of cash management concepts and enhance overall sales effectiveness.
What you bring:
- Extensive experience at Vice President level or equivalent in cash management, liquidity management, trade finance sales or origination within a Tier 1 global financial institution is essential for success in this role.
- Proven record of adapting effectively to diverse operating environments and market conditions whilst consistently delivering revenue growth over multiple business cycles.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing senior‑level relationships with global corporate or multinational clients within comparable roles focused on cash management or trade finance.
- Comprehensive subject matter expertise in payments systems (including ERP integration), electronic banking connectivity (SWIFT/File Formats), liquidity products (pooling/optimisation), as well as emerging technology trends impacting transaction banking.
- In‑depth understanding of European/UK regulatory frameworks such as BaselIV, PSD2, ISO20022, MiFIDII/CRDVI along with awareness of competitive landscape across Europe & Asia markets.
- Ability to structure creative solutions addressing complex payment/collection challenges while balancing risk considerations across credit/legal/compliance domains.
- Advanced communication skills enabling effective engagement at all organisational levels—both internally (written/verbal/presentations) & externally (industry/client events).
- Strong analytical capabilities allowing aggregation & interpretation of complex data sets into actionable insights that benefit both bank & client objectives.
- Experience participating actively in business/credit committee reviews; able to present cases clearly & persuasively before senior decision‑makers.
- Minimum BA/BSc degree required in Finance/Business/Economics or related discipline or equivalent work experience; professional treasury qualifications (e.g., ACT) are highly desirable.
