What you'll do
- Provide end‑to‑end delivery of data analytics engagements aligned with methodology and quality assurance standards.
- Collaborate with business audit teams to understand processes, risks and controls and develop analytics testing strategies that support internal audit conclusions.
- Design, implement, and execute analytics plans independently to assess key controls, validate issues, and facilitate continuous monitoring across audits.
- Manage collection, transformation and analysis of large datasets while ensuring data quality, integrity, security and governance throughout the audit lifecycle.
- Document analytics work accurately and timely according to established methodology and quality assurance standards.
- Act as a relationship manager for a portfolio of audits by coordinating with audit teams and stakeholders to translate findings into actionable insights.
- Drive the integration of automation and artificial intelligence into audit processes, using techniques such as generative AI, machine learning, process mining and self‑serve analytics tools.
- Support migration efforts towards cloud platforms by promoting adoption of new technologies among auditors, including Data Analytics Champions.
- Set clear expectations for junior colleagues and provide guidance to uphold high standards and support team development.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of the Data Analytics function.

What you bring
- Significant hands‑on experience leading complex analytics projects within Financial Services or Internal Audit environments, including analytics testing across the full audit lifecycle.
- Proficiency with Python or similar programming languages for advanced data analysis, plus experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or Power BI).
- Strong project management skills enabling the handling of multiple priorities while delivering high‑quality outputs aligned with KPIs and QA standards.
- Experience managing analysts or peers, owning projects, providing technical leadership and reviewing junior colleagues’ work to enhance team capability.
- Solid understanding of risk/control environments with ability to assess risks and develop observations supporting audit conclusions.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex data concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences and build trust with stakeholders.
- Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Mathematics or equivalent, or a degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration/Risk Management with demonstrable data analytics experience.
- Preferred: experience developing advanced analytics solutions/workflows (e.g., Alteryx, AI/ML/LLM tools) and knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake) and automation/low‑code platforms (Power Platform).
- Experience contributing to analytics frameworks and best practices, familiarity with delivery tools (JIRA, Confluence) and relevant certifications (e.g., Google Data Analytics, IBM Data Analyst, Microsoft Azure Data Scientist, AWS Analytics, Tableau/Power BI certifications).
