Key Responsibilities
- Support the origination and execution of securitised products for the bank’s clients (under coordination of the FI Sector Lead – Securitised Products), with a specific focus on RMBS, Auto ABS, Consumer Loan and Credit Card asset classes – covering both public and private securitisation transactions.
- Support and/or lead the execution of securitisation transaction renewals, amendments and waivers within the FI Sector (under coordination of the Securitised Products Transactions Manager).
- If required, support the origination and execution of securitised products for the bank’s corporate or esoteric clients (under coordination of the Corporate or Esoteric Sector Lead – Securitised Products).
- Analyse and produce structural risk memoranda and reports, review legal documentation, perform cash‑flow modelling, undertake due diligence on transactions and manage client relationships (including both internal and external counterparties) on transactions.
- Lead or support the deal closing processes.
- Liaise with clients at a counterpart level to relay specific information and respond to routine queries, ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Maintain and develop a knowledge base of regulatory issues relating to securitisation and developments in the securitisation market.
- Build relationships throughout MUFG to establish a peer network, gather relevant information and help ensure effective inter‑departmental collaboration.
- Support the execution of private‑placement and public FI Sector ABS transactions in EMEA, where required.
- Support senior originators in the origination of private‑placement and public ABS transactions in EMEA adopting a product‑neutral approach.
- Personal Requirements
- Education: Degree level or equivalent work experience.
- A good track record of working on securitisation transactions in EMEA – ideally in a structuring or execution capacity; a strong track record in a rating agency or adviser capacity is also acceptable.
- Legal, accounting or credit background desirable.
- Complex problem‑solving skills.
- Commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Interpersonal and networking skills and the ability to work in a diverse team environment.
- Excellent knowledge and skill working with Microsoft Power Point and Microsoft Excel.
- Fluency in any European language desirable but not essential.
