Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) invites applications for the position of Associate Securitised Products within its esteemed London-based Securitised Products & Supply Chain Finance Group, part of the Global Corporate & Investment Banking Division. What you'll do

  • Support the comprehensive lifecycle of securitisation transactions for an eclectic client base spanning EMEA.
  • Identify new business opportunities and execute intricate structured finance arrangements in close collaboration with senior colleagues.
  • Assess transaction risks, scrutinise legal documents, model cash flows meticulously, and undertake rigorous due diligence procedures.
  • Sustain robust client relationships and oversee deal closings with precision while delivering exemplary service to both internal associates and external clients.
  • Remain abreast of regulatory developments to uphold compliance standards.
  • Promote effective teamwork across departments to ensure optimal outcomes for all stakeholders.
  • Provide support in the origination and execution of securitised products for corporate, financial institution or esoteric clients under sector‑specific leadership.
  • Assist or assume responsibility for the execution of securitisation transaction renewals, amendments, and waivers in the corporate sector.
  • Analyse structural risk memoranda and reports, review legal documentation, perform cash flow modelling, conduct due diligence, and manage client relationships.
  • Lead or support deal closing processes, ensuring all requisite documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Liaise directly with clients at the counterpart level, respond promptly to routine queries, and ensure exceptional service.
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory issues pertaining to securitisation and developments in the broader market.
  • Cultivate strong relationships across departments within the organisation to facilitate inter‑departmental collaboration.
  • Support senior originators in advancing the public ABS franchise in EMEA by adopting a product‑neutral approach.

What you bring

  • A degree‑level education (or equivalent work experience) and solid demonstrable experience working on securitisation transactions within EMEA in a structuring or execution capacity.
  • A background in securitisation, structured finance or working capital finance acquired from positions at banks, rating agencies or advisory firms.
  • Legal, accounting or credit experience beneficial for comprehending transaction structures and documentation requirements.
  • Exceptional problem‑solving abilities coupled with commercial acumen to navigate complex deal structures judiciously.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills facilitating rapport‑building across departments and external clients.
  • Excellent negotiation skills underpinning the ability to secure mutually agreeable outcomes during transaction discussions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel to prepare detailed presentations and perform sophisticated financial modelling tasks efficiently.
  • Fluency in any European language considered an asset but not obligatory.
