The Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) division serves a diverse portfolio of corporate and institutional clients across EMEA, providing comprehensive financial products and strategic advisory services.
The Digital Transformation and Process Excellence function spearheads digital and operational transformation initiatives for GCIB across the EMEA region. This function is pivotal in driving the adoption of new technologies, enhancing efficiency and ensuring strategic alignment with global transformation priorities, including Project Horizon. Among other responsibilities, this role will be responsible for GCIB EMEA’s Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) programme.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Own, develop and continuously enhance GCIB EMEA’s Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) framework, including tooling, standards, governance and reporting.
- Lead Kaizen initiatives end‑to‑end, from problem definition and root cause analysis through to implementation and benefits tracking.
- Apply Six Sigma or equivalent methodologies to identify inefficiencies and improve process effectiveness across GCIB EMEA.
- Represent GCIB EMEA in regional Kaizen forums, contributing ideas, best practice and outcomes.
- Partner with the Bangalore-based team to embed Kaizen consistently across initiatives.
- Support the Department Head with delivering broader digital and technology change programmes across GCIB EMEA.
- Support the Department Head and COO for GCIB EMEA with activities related to Project Horizon, ensuring alignment with global digital priorities.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of GCIB EMEA’s AI strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving team/user adoption.
- Attend key technology/transformation working groups and similar fora as required.
- Proven experience in transformation within the financial services sector or a similarly complex environment.
- Experience in embedding efficiency programmes across multiple business lines.
- Hands‑on experience applying Lean / Six Sigma methodologies in complex operating environments.
- Ability to communicate effectively to key stakeholders at all levels.
- Broad knowledge of investment and corporate banking products and services and how they impact or support clients across sectors/regions.
- Degree level or relevant industry experience.
- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or above), or equivalent continuous improvement qualification.
