As an Associate Financial Institutions Sponsor Coverage professional based in London, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the team's efforts to expand business with global Financial Sponsors.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior colleagues on client relationship management initiatives.
  • Execute fund‑level financing opportunities and engage with various product teams such as Fund Finance, Project Finance, FX & Rates to originate new business transactions.
  • Produce detailed relationship overviews and account plans for key clients to shape strategic approaches.
  • Review transaction documentation to ensure accuracy in client communications.
  • Understand evolving client needs to support innovative product solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders – Credit, Legal, KYC, Operations – to secure complex multi‑jurisdictional relationships.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends that inform strategic decisions.
  • Build strong networks across departments and lead internal meetings to demonstrate analytical capabilities.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes to ensure compliance within the dynamic sector.

Qualifications

  • Solid commercial experience in FIG sponsor coverage, fund finance or investment banking/global markets is essential.
  • Exposure to Financial Sponsors/Funds or Non‑bank Financial Institutions is highly desirable.
  • Keen interest in the alternative asset management sector and familiarity with related products enhances suitability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Knowledge of fund‑level products such as Subscription Facilities, Sponsor FX, NAV lending is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Economics (or equivalent qualifications/experience) is essential; CFA qualification is considered advantageous.
