The Transaction Banking EMEA division covers Europe, Middle East and Africa, and is part of MUFG’s Global Transaction Banking Division. The division’s key responsibilities are to drive regional business and support global and regional clients with Transaction Banking solutions for Cash and Liquidity Management, Foreign Exchange, Trade, and Working Capital through a comprehensive suite of proprietary and third‑party digital channels.

As a Client Service Account Manager (CSAM) – Cash & Liquidity Management Sales, you will deliver best‑in‑class service, build strong client relationships and ensure a seamless end‑to‑end client experience. You will work with coverage bankers and product partners to grow the baseline of Transaction Banking EMEA’s business with a designated portfolio of existing clients. You will be a subject‑matter expert in cash & liquidity management solutions and the applicable UK and European regulatory landscape, and serve as the key product contact for coverage partners and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management – support the growth of cash & liquidity management revenues and enhance returns from existing corporate & FIG clients in the designated portfolio to meet individual and EMEA team regional/booking centre targets, and originate new opportunities into the MUFG global network.
  • Client Service & Sales Support – collaborate with coverage partners across the EMEA region to service and support sales efforts for identifying and acquiring new cash & liquidity management corporate & FIG clients and new‑to‑bank opportunities.
  • Client Strategy – develop and execute client strategy for the designated portfolio, including account and wallet planning, target identification, and focus solutions in collaboration with coverage and product partners.
  • Pipeline Management – achieve individual pipeline targets and demonstrate role‑model pipeline management skills and behaviours across all cash & liquidity management products.
  • Revenue Diversification – support diversification of revenue sources by cross‑selling the entire suite of cash & liquidity management products, avoiding concentration on one or two products.
  • RFIs/RFPs – respond to regional and global RFIs/RFPs on the designated portfolio, coordinating input from across GTB functions and regions.
  • Relationship Management – develop strong, effective working relationships with all key stakeholders, including transaction banking product, client implementation, risk, coverage, compliance, legal, etc., within EMEA and other regions.
  • Risk & Deal Mitigation – act as the first line of defence for cash & liquidity management deal‑related matters, addressing compliance, legal and risk concerns and contributing to the improvement of risk identification and management processes.
  • Industry Fluency – stay fluent on funding, treasury, procurement and risk issues that impact corporate treasury, finance and procurement centres.
  • Working Capital – identify strategies and collaborate with product partners outside Transaction Banking to deliver a unified MUFG proposition.
  • Coaching & Training – provide coaching and/or training to team members and stakeholders to advance the understanding of cash & liquidity management within MUFG.
  • Representation – represent MUFG cash & liquidity management at internal and external industry and client events.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential: Extensive experience – associate level cash & liquidity management sales experience at a Tier1 global financial institution. Proven track record of adapting to different operating environments and market conditions. Experience with client global corporate / MNC & FIG sales and management in a comparable cash & liquidity management sales role. Demonstrated revenue growth across a 2‑year business cycle and ongoing enhancement of critical factors such as new‑to‑bank revenue, utilisation, balance sheet optimisation and diversification of cross‑sell revenue. SME knowledge of UK, European, Asian and North American markets, including the competitive landscape.

Preferred: Experience within transaction banking environments and use of emerging technology solutions.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong technical knowledge across all cash & liquidity management products, regulatory and industry trends.
  • Experience with bank‑owned platforms, third‑party solutions and emerging technology in working capital finance.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and industry climate changes such as Basel IV, ISO 20022, PSD2/3, MiFID etc.
  • Developed influence and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Good understanding of risk and market environments across the cash & liquidity management spectrum, including credit, legal, compliance, implementation and operations.
  • Strong analytical skills – aggregate, collate and generate actionable insights from complex client and market data.
  • Experience in active participation in business & credit committee reviews.

Education / Qualifications

Essential: Minimum of a BA degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).

Preferred: Professional qualifications such as ACT.
