Working closely with the Senior Leadership team to oversee the day-to-day implementation of the Company Matters business strategy, bringing senior managerial skills to the team. To support the Managing Director of Company Matters in driving the external and internal profile of the business, focusing on client relationships to deliver best-in-class services through gold standard relationship management. Achieving recognition of the business to enable us to meet our business plan and develop the capabilities of our team.
Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities
- Line management responsibilities for members of the Senior Management and Management Teams, providing leadership, guidance on management of business practices, HR functions, performance management and professional development processes.
- Ensure that Senior Management and Management Teams are supported in their development and provided with stretching opportunities.
- Set an example (and ensure that Senior Management and Management Teams are setting an example) to all team members, encouraging behaviours that foster good team spirit, support individual and team development and align with the expectations of Link Group.
- Providing leadership on high profile external partnerships and industry relationships, bringing gravitas and experience to those interactions.
- Bring project management experience to both internal projects, ensuring that the delivery is managed appropriately and is delivered by team members at the appropriate level.
- Monitor the profitability and quality of workflows undertaken by the Company Matters business and encourage team members to do the same.
- Take a leading role in contributing to the strategic direction of the business in terms of the development/retention of our client base and resource, the shaping and evolution of our services and our profile in the market place and within Link Group.
- Overseeing our Ahead Programme, working closely with the Group Marketing function to deliver a profile raising industry platform.
- Raising the profile of our team and our service offering through internal and external events and initiatives, including panel participation, making presentations, networking, etc.
- Establish and maintain relationships with intermediaries, introducers and third party service providers with a view to generating leads and enhancing the business’ offering and reputation as the primary company secretarial service provider in the UK.
- Collectively responsible for identifying potential new products, services, sectors and partnerships and working with the Managing Director to identify potential new jurisdictions and acquisitions to support the continued growth of our team.
- Monitor expenditure and revenues to ensure that we meet our profit targets.
- Support the Managing Director with internal financial and risk reporting obligations.
- Build strong working relationships across our teams in London and Exeter and with other parts of Link Group.
