The Associate Director, HR Systems & Operations is responsible for the hands-on configuration, optimization, and technical support of Workday HCM and related modules. This role works within the HRTech & Process team and partners closely with HR Operations, Reward, Talent, and IT to deliver scalable, high-quality Workday configuration and solutions. The successful candidate will independently manage medium-complexity configuration and enhancements in Workday, integrations (EIB/Core Connectors), business processes, and data quality initiatives, contributing to a stable, efficient, and continuously improving Workday environment.
- Workday Configuration & Functional Support: Configure and enhance Core HCM, including job profiles, supervisory organizations, positions, staffing transactions, and custom objects. Configure, maintain and optimize Business Processes (BPs), including routing, condition rules, notifications, validations. Deliver solutions and configuration in Workday for HCM, Recruiting, Absence, Compensation, Talent, Journey and Peakon as required. Conduct impact assessments, document changes, and execute appropriate testing. Prepare solution documents, process blueprints and test scenarios. Deliver technical training on the system functionalities.
- Reporting & Data Management: Design and build Workday dashboards, scorecards, datasets, and reports. Develop intermediate to advanced calculated fields.
- Integrations: Build and maintain Core Connectors and Integrations solutions. Build and enhance inbound and outbound EIB and API integrations. Manage integration schedules, authentication methods, file transfers, and certificates.
- Security & Compliance: Build security configuration and create and maintain security roles and access. Produce audit reports and security evidence.
- Release Management & Quality Assurance: Review Workday release notes, evaluate impacts, and perform configuration and regression testing. Document outcomes, identify relevant features, and recommend enhancements. Promote changes across tenants following governance processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work within the HR System team to understand requirements and propose system solutions. Deliver Testing and UAT sessions, perform testing scenarios and provide support. Communicate technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Required: 5 years of hands-on Workday experience and ideally Workday Pro Certification. Strong Workday HCM configuration capability, including ideally Talent, Performance, Recruiting, Compensation/Advanced Compensation, Absence module. Experience building Reports in Workday. Strong experience with Integrations (Core Connectors, EIBs, and RaaS). Solid understanding of Workday Architecture. Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Preferred: Familiarity with Workday Web Services, XML/JSON, and data mapping. Experience in global/multi-country environments.
