We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a key role in building and maintaining our cloud-native platform infrastructure on AWS. You will be responsible for designing, automating, and optimizing our AWS-based platform using Terraform, Kubernetes, and scripting. You will ensure the platform is secure, scalable, and optimized to meet the demands of a fast-paced financial services environment. Collaborating with software and data engineering, security, and product teams, you will define and execute a strategic vision for platform engineering while driving operational excellence and innovation.
Responsibilities- Design, implement and manage AWS infrastructure
- Deploy, scale and maintain Kubernetes clusters
- Automate infrastructure and operations to improve efficiency
- Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability
- Monitor and analyse AWS resources to proactively resolve issues
- Improve observability
- Work with development and security teams to enhance platform resilience and security posture
- Collaborate with application developers to build CI/CD pipelines and workflows
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards in the financial industry
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or cloud architecture roles
- Proven expertise in designing and managing AWS cloud-native architectures
- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries will be considered an advantage
- Technical Skills:
- Infrastructure as code: Hands-on experience with Terraform
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- CI/CD & Automation: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Cloud architecture: understanding of cloud best practices for highly available, elastic, and scalable solutions
- AWS Services: Proficiency with IAM, Lambda, S3 and other core AWS services
- Scripting experience: Python or similar
