As an AWS DevOps Engineer at MUFG, your primary responsibility is to think critically and be curious to learn and strategically design, deploy, and maintain the cloud infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. Your role is critical in ensuring the company’s cloud-based applications and services’ reliability, security, and scalability.
You Will:
- Be responsible for breaking down the platform engineering team’s overarching goals into detailed tasks for your team and working with them to deliver them.
- Work closely with the Platform Engineering team manager to plan ways to optimize cloud cost and infrastructure.
- Work with your manager to plan and deliver projects and team goals.
- Coach and guide the platform engineers in your team.
- Validate their infrastructure design and review their Git Pull requests.
- Strategically design and implement AWS cloud solutions based on the company’s requirements and best practices.
- Primarily focus on building a great developer experience and build internal developers portal with MUFGIS template with CI/CD for the developers.
- Collaborate with developers and enterprise architects to build solutions on a cloud platform to host brown and green field applications.
- Implement and maintain network and security configurations to safeguard sensitive financial data.
Qualifications You Have:
- A Bachelor’s/Associates degree in computer engineering or computer science.
- AWS Solution Architect - Associate.
- AWS Solution Architect - Professional.
- AWS Security or Networking Expert.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of cloud best practices for highly available, elastic, and scalable solutions.
- Proficiency with IAM, Lambda, S3 and other core AWS services.
- Scripting experience: Python or similar.
Leadership & Collaboration Skills:
- Ability to work cross-functionally with development and security teams.
- Ability to drive change.
