MUFG is seeking a Technology Resilience Standards Vice President to join their Operations Office for EMEA in London. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to shape and maintain enterprise-wide technology resilience standards, ensuring that business needs, impact tolerances, and regulatory expectations are translated into clear, measurable requirements across applications, infrastructure, and services. You will play a key role in defining and maintaining technology resilience standards that underpin critical business services across MUFG’s EMEA operations, ensuring regulatory compliance with FCA/PRA and EU DORA requirements.
- Your collaborative approach will enable you to build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple entities, supporting the ongoing maturity of the Operational Resilience Framework and driving sustainable solutions.

What you’ll do:- Define and maintain enterprise-wide technology resilience standards by translating business needs, impact tolerances, and regulatory expectations into clear requirements for availability, recoverability, substitutability, and response capabilities.
- Develop, embed, and manage the Operational Resilience framework, tools, and methodologies in line with regulatory requirements to support MUFG’s strategic objectives across the UK (FCA/PRA), EU DORA, and broader EMEA region.
- Establish collaborative relationships across MUFG entities in the UK, Europe, and EMEA using excellent interpersonal skills to influence senior management and realise intended benefits.
- Support the management of Important Business Services (IBS) and Critical/Important Functions (CIFs) by maintaining lists of critical systems related to both IBS and CIFs.
- Monitor resilience of critical systems by reviewing metrics for IBS/CIFs and coordinating activities to assess resilience of resources supporting these functions.
- Mature the Technology Resilience metrics portfolio to support early identification of vulnerabilities and disruption risks within the organisation.
- Coordinate technology testing activities in line with Operational Resilience requirements by facilitating scenario testing workshops with relevant service/resource owners.
- Support development of response plans based on scenario testing outputs to ensure preparedness for potential disruptions.
- Assess vulnerabilities within business areas by helping define remedial actions, tracking delivery of actions, and reviewing evidence of gap closure.
- Provide input into annual regulatory self-assessment processes while coordinating internal governance and approval procedures.
- Demonstrable experience establishing Operational Resilience frameworks within financial services institutions similar to MUFG.
- Detailed knowledge of UK Operational Resilience Policy Statements (FCA & PRA) as well as EU Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) requirements.
- Proven understanding of Operational Risk, Business Continuity tools/methodologies/best practice relevant to large-scale financial organisations.
- Experience delivering regulatory change/transformation projects within complex environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of Technology Resilience methods/standards including cyber security threats/standards applicable to banking sector.
- Ability to identify risks/issues promptly or escalate appropriately when resolution is not possible within remit.
- Project management experience enabling focus on timely delivery of activities while managing critical paths/reporting status regularly.
- Strong communication/influencing skills allowing you to advocate for operational resilience among senior stakeholders across all business areas.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships internally—working closely with customers/service/resource owners—and externally with regulators/peers.
- No formal qualifications required; qualified through extensive relevant experience.
