Please visit our website for more information – Central Transformation Office (CTO) department is mandated to deliver strategic projects & initiatives across MUS Securities International and Bank EMEA. CTO will manage and execute strategic business transformation change and likely to be business critical or sensitive in nature. These include but not limited to front to back(f2b), multi-entity, multi-business area impacting initiatives. In addition these may be high budget, high change risk projects, along with multi-year duration – potentially structured as a programme with multiple project workstreams. Projects may include combination of strategic business change, regulatory, and IT components – so close collaboration with AE\’s, business owners, support departments and Technology will be essential. CTO has been expanded to also include functions responsible for DX/AI implementation across EMEA, ESG initiatives and oversight in EMEA, Global Efficiency Office initiatives across MUFG and strategic project delivery outside of the scope of the investment portfolio. NUMBER OF DIRECT REPORTS N/A MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The purpose of this role is to provide business management support for the International Head of Change Management / Chief Transformation Officer for EMEA. This includes ensuring executive reporting, function level controls and key strategic initiatives are delivered in line with respective frameworks. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You will be responsible for providing strategic support to the Chief Transformation Officer for EMEA (International Head of Change / Head of CTO (Delivery) with particular focus on: Deputise for the IH of Change / Head of CTO where required and support from a MI & reporting perspective Development, embedding and governing the strategic plan and transformation activities on behalf of Chief Transformation Officer for EMEAIH of Change / Head of CTO which are often expense funded / side of desk e.g. PDLC framework transformation, International Standards. Look to continuously enhance / device new P&P for PDLC project governance / standards, delivery of BAU initiatives etc Work with stakeholders across Finance and Planning to ensure improved process and efficiencies can be met, aligned to industry best practices. Provide coaching / set direction for CPMO Lead; and provide cover for periods of leave for that role. EDFAssist IH of Change / Head of CTO to devise team strategy & vision with roadmap to Change and Transformation; working with other senior members of team to help drive BOW. Contribute to IPC, EDF & Other forums – delivery and continuous improvement of the forum which ensures project delivery assurance of high risk, high profile projects in order to provide visibility and alignment across MUFG EMEA, Securities International and support the Deputy Regional Executive in achieving the EMEA / International Strategy and individual Function Medium Term Business Plans (\”MTBP\”).\”) goals. Chair the Risk Assessment Forum (RAF) and ensure the RCSA is maintained across all teams in CTO, engaging with team owners to ensure it is up to date and adequate control frameworks are in place for each sub-function. Post Blue Day 2, provide a six month warranty period to Technology enabling a smooth handover and ensuring service levels remain in line with expectations of MUFG Bank Head Office and local stakeholders. Manage the cadence for Central Transformation Office executive reporting, key committees and planning. This includes (but is not limited to) EMEA Executive Committee, MUS International Management Committee (IMC), EMEA Culture Committee and MUSHD Management Committee (HD ManComm).) and new / replacement forums on the horizon SIMM / ISSMO. Manage function wide relationships with 2LOD / 3LOD, with particular focus on Operational Risk, Internal Audit and SoX. SoulSole responsibility to work with FPAFinancial Planning and Analysis to develop the annual BAU financial and FTE budget and review monthly to assess against actual performance, ensuring savings are identified as required and implemented. Ensure Human Capital Plans are approved, up to date and in line with industry standards Assess Employee Engagement Survey and Glint Pulse Check Assessments and ensure an action plan is in place and being followed to improve employee satisfaction Oversee the monthly management forum to ensure department is meeting ORM requirements and identifying any upcoming issues / requirements Manage Operational Risk engagement via EORCC attendance, ensuring reporting requirements are met and key information relating to Central Transformation office is disseminated as required. Ensure staff engagement and compliance for performance management and objective setting as well as Leap trainings. Attend quarterly Corporate Health and Safety forum on behalf of CTO and assess KPI metrics with focus on impact to CTO. WORK EXPERIENCE Essential: Minimum 12-15 years proven track record delivery in financial institutions.Demonstrable experience of: Executive level BAU business and operational management Excellent level of budgetary understanding and oversight of entity and departmental costs and resourcing Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills enabling the candidate interact effectively with stakeholders Excellent production of high quality MI and reporting, ensuring fit for purpose for level of consumption i.e Executive level. Ability to summarise complex issues in simple terms. Strong analytical and business experience; Understanding financial products across different asset classes including but not limited to derivatives, cash / credit products and understating of pricing and risk models and understanding of trade lifecycle & workflows; Strong knowledge of banking regulations and running regulatory projects. Good understanding of financial products and front-to-back processes. Demonstrable track record of managing multiple stakeholders and building relationships across diverse skill sets and across the organisation. Experience of working with and negotiating contracts for vendors and consultancies Coaching, mentoring and leadership skills Proven experience and expert understanding of delivering through full project lifecycle SDLC/PDLC using waterfall and agile approaches Excellent communication skills and the ability
