About the Role
As a Customer Service Assistant / Barista, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing quality coffee, beverages, and food for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers with a friendly and positive attitude
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages
- Prepare and serve muffins, cakes, sandwiches, and other café products
- Operate the POS and handle cash and card transactions
- Maintain high standards of customer service and product presentation
- Keep the café, counters, equipment, and work areas clean and organised
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements
- Restock products and supplies as required
- Work effectively as part of a friendly and supportive team
About You
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Positive and enthusiastic
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment
- A good communicator and team player
- Passionate about coffee and hospitality
- Previous barista or café experience is preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate
- Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays where required
