We are looking to expand our existing pool of Bank Staff at our Drighlington Nursery. Our flexible bank staff are essential in providing support to the permanent staff at each setting to cover staff holidays, training days, and unplanned staffing needs. This flexible working pattern is ideal for anyone who loves working in the nursery sector, but also wants the flexibility to work the days that suit them and to work with other teams and children.

Key Responsibilities
- As a member of our bank staff team at Muddy Boots, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high‑quality, nature‑based learning experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence and independence.
- Planning and delivering engaging learning activities, with a strong focus on outdoor play and exploration.
- Observing, assessing and supporting children’s individual learning journeys.
- Acting as a key person and building strong, trusting relationships with families.
- Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
- Working collaboratively as part of a positive, supportive team.
- Being responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in their care.
About You
- Has a Level 3 or above Qualification in Childcare (ideal but not essential) or have a minimum of 6 months of proven experience within a nursery or childcare setting.
- Be available to work between the hours of 8 am – 6 pm (minimum 1 day and up to 5 days per week).
- Be flexible in your approach to work and be adaptable to different age groups within the nurseries which range from 6 weeks to 4 years old.
- Love the outdoors as all nurseries have great outdoor spaces for the children to learn and play in.

- Has a genuine passion for outdoor learning and child‑led play.
- Is positive, proactive and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Due to the rural location of the nursery, applicants are strongly recommended to have their own car.
