The role involves supporting our Commercial Debt Recovery litigation team. The successful candidate will work in our legal team on a wide range of debt collection matters covering:
- Dealing with complex pre‑action disputes.
- Dealing with all types of mediations and settlement meetings.
- Dealing with and drafting applications in proceedings.
- Managing a case load of defended actions, including small claims.
- Assisting and progressing with fast track and intermediate cases.
- Drafting witness statements.
- Drafting costs schedules.
- Instructing counsel.
- Preparation for trials.
Required qualifications and skills include being a proactive and motivated self‑starter with strong technical expertise in commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have an excellent work ethic, strong problem‑solving abilities, and a collaborative approach to teamwork, together with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service. You will possess excellent communication, people and client management skills, as well as good commercial awareness and a genuine interest in business development.
