Partnered with some of the world’s best teams and athletes across a range of disciplines, Muc-Off has become THE reference point in the bike care and maintenance category with exciting and ambitious plans for the future.
This is an awesome time to be part of this truly innovative brand as we embark upon new territories and sectors, whilst growing our brand presence and engagement for our core portfolio. This is a truly results-driven culture where everyone can make a difference and contribute to the future chapter of the ‘OG’ in bike care.
About the role
With continued growth opportunities yet to be realised in the US and Canada, there is now a need for an experienced Marketing Manager to own the North America (NA) marketing plan across both bicycle and powersports in order to step change brand awareness, understanding and engagement. This role is responsible for building the NA marketing plan against key strategic priorities and owning its delivery, analysis and continual improvement across owned, earned and paid media channels. Over time, this role will evolve to take responsibility for the marketing program in Central and South America. The role reports into Chief Marketing Officer.
Key responsibilities
- Work with the Chief Growth Officer and Chief Marketing Officer to develop a cohesive NA marketing plan across bicycle & powersports disciplines in line with the business’ objectives, strategic and tactical needs. This plan will need to incorporate Core & NPI campaigns.
- Develop and deliver a press engagement plan to drive journalist affinity with our brand resulting in increased press coverage (both quantity and quality). This should include utilising events, bike parks and tailor-made press activations working in conjunction with the Communications Director.
- Maximise the ROI of our teams and athletes via the development of specific NA activations, including programs tailored for key events, e.g. SX, Unbound & Red Bull rampage.
- Develop relationships with our athletes based in the NA to ensure that they are clear on our agenda, supported with our core and NPI products and actively supporting our brand agenda.
- Identify brand partnership opportunities that will drive awareness and consideration of the brand.
- Identify influencer opportunities and in conjunction with the global influencer manager, develop campaigns that support the brand agenda and maximise reach and engagement of our NA influencer community.
- Create a network of content creators and manage the production process in conjunction with the global team.
- Define KPIs and corresponding metrics to facilitate performance reporting on an agreed basis to relevant stakeholders.
- Responsible for continuously analysing industry trends and internal consumer data in order to make recommendations for performance improvement and key product marketing initiatives.
What we’re looking for
- We’re looking for a driven and results orientated marketing professional, with strong marketing experience with some time at a line management level. You are relaxed and adept at navigating across any stage of the marketing channels and come armed with a curious and creative mind combined with a ‘get it done’ mentality.
- This is a hands-on role and therefore requires players, not spectators, who are keen to get stuck in and find the most effective way of cracking challenges and are not afraid to stand up and be counted.
- If you love 2 wheels then we want to see that turn into engaging and disruptive campaigns that punch way above the budget.
- A 2-wheel fanatic who is, and keeps up with, the latest in the cycling & powersports industries and the world of marketing best practice.
- Positive energy and an ability to bring people with you (even when sometimes they don’t want to) is key in this small, but highly engaged team.
