About the role
We are looking for a part-time IT Manager to join our 400-person global team and optimize our IT services & security across the business. You’ll report to our VP People based in London and will work closely with our People & Global Offices Operations Manager, also based in London, as well as our other Office Managers globally. There will be 3 distinct parts to this role: software management, hardware management and IT security. This is a really exciting opportunity for a confident IT professional who is able to navigate a wide range of tasks from cross-functional software deployment to maintaining our physical network infrastructure across multiple buildings. This role is based in London and ideal for someone looking to work 3-4 days each week, with 2-3 days on-site at our offices in Soho.
Where you’ll have impact:
- Software Management
- Organize and streamline the procurement, deployment, licensing, and lifecycle of all business software applications, including operating systems, productivity suites, and specialised tools.
- Ensure all software is up-to-date, patched, and compliant with vendor agreements and internal policies.
- Evaluate and recommend new software solutions to improve efficiency and meet the company's evolving needs.
- Develop and maintain documentation for software configurations and usage.
- Hardware Management
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT hardware (desktops, laptops, servers, networking equipment, mobile devices), including procurement and ongoing support to disposal.
- Manage and maintain the physical network infrastructure in London, including Wi‑Fi access points, switches, and cabling.
- Provide timely and effective technical support for hardware issues across all global offices, supporting local Office Managers with hardware management and queries.
- Manage inventory of all IT assets and ensure proper asset tagging and tracking.
- IT Security
- Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive IT security policies and procedures to protect company data and infrastructure.
- Manage and monitor security systems centrally, including firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control solutions.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments and manage penetration testing engagements.
- Lead incident response for all security breaches and provide training to staff on security awareness and best practices.
You will bring:
- Proven experience as an IT Manager, or similar position
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and cloud environments (e.g., Google Workspace, Azure, AWS), as well as MDM (JAMF or similar)
- Experience with IT security best practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to navigate a wide range of technical challenges independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
