This is a brand-new role for a very well established, highly regarded print management business. You’ll need to be coming into this with print knowledge as you’ll be the first and last point of contact for your client. Your passion as an Account Director is about nurturing and developing relationships. You’ll be walking into this with a brand new client to the business, so if you know how to onboard and integrate a new client into a business then you’re already one step ahead too.
Account Director in print businesses can look very different. Here, you’ll be strategically leading and developing a new account that has been won. By the time you come into the business, the client will more or less have gone through the transition phase and about to be integrated. Perfect timing for you to set your stall and get into building those relationships from the ground up.
Print Management can, in some places, be corporate and red tape everywhere. Not here. This place is quirky, it’s unique and they love a good maverick. Roll your sleeves up, get in and amongst it. There’s no ivory tower here. As the Account Director coming into the business, you’ll be supported and surrounded by a great team. It’s got knowledge, experience, longevity, togetherness and good fun.
The business is a Print Management business on paper but inside there, it’s way more than that. Propriety tech stack looking at web 2 print, e-commerce and driving efficiency. They are a Marketing Services and Brand Activation business with warehouse & fulfilment thrown in for good measure.
I could write bullet points of what experience and knowledge you need to do this job but in all honesty, if you’re a Senior Account Manager or an Account Director with experience in the print and or marketing sector and you are open to looking around, then you’ll be able to do this job. A lot of it will come down to culture fit for you and for them.
Luckily for you, I know this business very well having worked with them for over 6 years. There’s a big team ethos and mentality here so when you’re not meeting with your client, you’ll be in the office more often than not.
