This role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager Supported Housing to provide operational leadership across a portfolio of supported living and housing services. You will oversee specialist housing management services and services that support adults with a range of needs, including those with experience of homelessness, asylum seekers and refugees, and individuals requiring mental health or specialist support. This is a key management role responsible for ensuring services are safe, compliant and high performing, delivering excellent, personalised and value-for-money services that achieve strong outcomes for customers.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Leading and developing multi-site teams to deliver high-quality supported housing services
  • Driving performance against KPIs, regulatory standards and contractual requirements
  • Embedding a strong safeguarding culture and overseeing incidents, complaints and risk
  • Managing relationships with commissioners, partners and stakeholders
  • Supporting service development, innovation and continuous improvement
  • Managing service budgets and ensuring efficient, effective resource deployment

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience managing supported housing or support services for adults with support needs (e.g. homelessness, mental health, refugees)
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, housing law, welfare benefits and best practice in supported housing
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and driving performance in a multi-site environment
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including commissioners
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering cost-effective services
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences
  • A values-driven approach, promoting equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Understanding of Psychologically Informed Environments and Trauma Informed Care (desirable)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (desirable)
