The Role
We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Building Safety Manager to join our existing team. We have recently appointed a new Head of Service and expanded our team to strengthen our work on building safety. You will take the lead on ensuring the buildings in your portfolio remain compliant with the Building Safety Act 2022. This is a key role that will work across the organisation to embed a strong culture of safety and regulatory excellence.
On a day to day basis you will:
- Lead on the development and maintenance of the building safety case, maintain the mandatory occurrence reporting system and review all the data on your buildings.
- Carefully maintain, update and evaluate safety in your buildings through the interrogation of management information trackers, dashboards, engagement with internal teams, external providers, consultants and engineers.
- Create and maintain excellent relationships with residents through the resident engagement strategies and ensure that residents' rights are protected and their voices are strongly influential in building safety.
The Person
You will have proven experience in delivering building safety in a residential setting, managing risk, interpreting data and implementing systems to keep residents safe. You will have a detailed knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and associated regulation and legislation. You will have relevant qualifications in building safety, fire safety, architecture, engineering or construction. You will be demonstrably attentive to detail and have excellent analytical skills and be highly literate and numerate.
