We are recruiting for a very experienced MIG / TIG Fabricator Welder for a well-established and successful manufacturing company based in Hayes, you will join their sheet metal fabrication team. Only experienced candidates to apply. This is an immediate permanent vacancy.

Location: Hayes, Middlesex

Salary: £18.00 – £19.50 per hour (depending on experience) Equivalent £37440.00 to £40560 per annum

Hours: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Overtime: Paid at 1.5x basic rate

Benefits: Competitive benefits package after successful probation

The Role: You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality MIG and TIG welding as part of a busy production environment, working to engineering drawings and strict quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Must have experience in MIG and TIG welding and fabrication.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering and production drawings.
  • Preparing materials for welding, including cleaning and grinding.
  • Inspecting welds to ensure quality and correct fusion.
  • Following welding specifications, symbols and critical dimensions.
  • Completing daily output sheets and first-off inspections.
  • Maintaining welding equipment, tools and PPE.
  • Ensuring housekeeping, health and safety standards are met.
  • Supporting continuous improvement within the department.

Requirements for a Mig/Tig Welder Fabricator:

  • Must have experience in MIG and TIG fabrication welding.
  • Strong ability to read and fully interpret engineering drawings.
  • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Experience working to quality targets and production deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and a strong team player.
  • Ability to safely manual handle items up to 25kg.
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Engineering apprenticeship or City & Guilds qualification preferred.
