We have a great opportunity for an experienced Pyro Packer who has experience in working in an engineering environment to be part of the team for a well-established aerospace company, with great opportunities for progression.
As a Pyro Packing Operative working in the Pyro Manufacturing Department at the Chalgrove site, the purpose of the role is to be responsible for undertaking the packing and palletising of cartridge sets and rocket motors that will contribute to the success of the ejector seats produced onsite. You will need your own transport.
Location: Chalgrove, Oxfordshire- OX44
Salary: £26775.00 per annum equivalent to £13.91 per hour, possibility of earning overtime
Shifts: Monday - Thursday 8 am-5 pm, Friday 8 am-12noon, 37 Hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, package, and label goods for dispatch with complete documentation.
- Maintain accurate stock tracking using SAP.
- Receive and reconcile materials and goods with production records.
- Mark and safely store materials, adhering to safety and ER14 regulations.
- Operate and maintain packing machinery to ensure efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
- Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Experience in a manufacturing or stores environment with basic packing skills.
- Familiarity with SAP and health & safety regulations.
- Dangerous Goods certification (Air, Sea, and Road) is an advantage.
- Must have the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Cartridge and Rocket Packing as per relevant engineering instructions.
- Experience in raising deliveries, printing labels, palletisation, relevant ATPs, QAI’s, PS’s, and other engineering documents.
