We are seeking a Logistics Operative to join our Stores Department within a highly regulated and precision-focused manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in the preparation, handling, packing, and distribution of materials and components used in advanced engineering operations. This includes both standard hardware and controlled pyrotechnic items, requiring a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick items (including hardware and pyrotechnic materials) using Kardex storage systems
- Book incoming goods into SAP accurately and efficiently
- Deliver materials to production and process areas as required
- Carry out regular stock checks for inventory accuracy
- Pack, palletise, and label goods for internal and external shipment
- Complete required documentation for dangerous goods transport (including ADR compliance)
- Support the management of stores and controlled storage areas in line with 5S principles
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping at all times
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment
- Basic understanding of health & safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Team player with the ability to work independently when required
- Reliable, focused, and safety-conscious approach to work
