We are seeking experienced MIG Welders to join our manufacturing team and support a busy programme of fabrication and assembly work. This is an excellent opportunity for welders who take pride in producing high-quality work in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MIG welding on mild steel components of varying thicknesses.
- Work from technical and engineering drawings to manufacture parts accurately.
- Complete fabrication tasks to a high standard with minimal rework.
- Inspect your own work and identify any defects or quality concerns.
- Report production or quality issues to the relevant supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area.
What We’re Looking For
Applicants should have either a recognised apprenticeship in welding/fabrication or proven experience in a similar industrial welding role.
Essential skills:
- Strong MIG welding ability across a range of weld positions.
- Experience welding mild steel from approximately 1.5mm up to 15mm.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively within a small team.
The successful candidate will join a close-knit production team.
