The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Alcester on a permanent night shift. This is a hands-on role focused on the finishing of sheet metal components rather than welding. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality finished products using a variety of hand and power tools, ensuring all work meets customer specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Linishing and finishing stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel components.
  • Grinding, fettling and deburring fabricated metal products.
  • Using hand tools, power tools and finishing equipment safely and effectively.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings where required.
  • Inspecting finished components to ensure quality standards are achieved.
  • Working to production targets whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience within a sheet metal, fabrication or metal finishing environment.
  • Skilled in linishing, grinding, deburring and fettling.
  • Ability to use a range of hand and power tools confidently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with stainless steel would be advantageous.
