The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Alcester on a permanent night shift. This is a hands-on role focused on the finishing of sheet metal components rather than welding. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality finished products using a variety of hand and power tools, ensuring all work meets customer specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Linishing and finishing stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel components.
- Grinding, fettling and deburring fabricated metal products.
- Using hand tools, power tools and finishing equipment safely and effectively.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings where required.
- Inspecting finished components to ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Working to production targets whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within a sheet metal, fabrication or metal finishing environment.
- Skilled in linishing, grinding, deburring and fettling.
- Ability to use a range of hand and power tools confidently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with stainless steel would be advantageous.
