We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Service Engineer to join a specialist engineering service team. Based in West London, this well-established engineering organisation is a recognised leader in the design, supply, and maintenance of advanced rail infrastructure machinery. Supporting major rail networks across the UK and internationally, the company is known for its innovation, high-quality equipment, and long-standing reputation within the rail sector.

The Role
- As an Electrical Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing service, repair, and commissioning support on specialist machinery and equipment.
- You will ensure all customer requirements are met with a professional, efficient, and safety-focused approach.
- Carry out repairs, fault finding, and modifications to machinery and equipment.
- Commission new, modified, and repaired equipment.
- Provide remote technical support and attend customer sites as required.
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a skilled engineering team.
- Travel extensively across the UK and internationally when required.
- Participate in an on-call rota to support out-of-hours requirements.
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience as an Electrical Service Engineer or similar role (minimum 3 years).
- Strong background in electrical/electronic systems, with knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
- Full, clean manual driving licence.
- Flexible, professional, and reliable approach.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Engineering or Electrical discipline.
- Experience servicing heavy plant or specialist machinery.
- Strong electronics knowledge and computer literacy.
- Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
