Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 basic salary DOE + Uncapped Commission

MTS Recruitment is looking for a Graduate Business Development Manager to join our growing Construction division. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in recruitment sales, with full training and ongoing support provided.

This is a pure business development role focused on generating new opportunities and building relationships with construction clients. There is no candidate resourcing involved – your role will be to identify opportunities, open doors, and create new business for the company.

The Role

  • Making outbound calls to construction companies throughout the UK
  • Generating new business opportunities and client meetings
  • Building relationships with site managers, project managers, commercial teams and procurement departments
  • Negotiating terms of business and rates
  • Working closely with the recruitment delivery team
  • Maintaining accurate records on the CRM system

Please note: This is a telephone-based sales role. Successful applicants should expect to spend approximately 80% of their working day on the phone speaking with construction clients.

Requirements

  • Construction knowledge is essential (education, previous work experience, family business, trade background or similar)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident speaking to people on the telephone
  • Positive, resilient and self‑motivated attitude
  • Willingness to learn and develop a career in sales
  • Good IT and administration skills
  • Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
