Salary: Β£27,000 + 22.6% Shift Uplift + Excellent Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 Hours per Week During Probation. Following Successful Probation: 4 On 4 Off Shift Pattern (07:00 β 16:30). Own transport is required due to the site location.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected engineering and manufacturing organisation operating within a safety critical environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting production by ensuring materials, components and finished products are received, stored and distributed accurately and efficiently.
The Role
Working within the Stores Department, you will be responsible for preparing, packing, labelling and issuing materials and components while maintaining accurate stock records and supporting the day to day operation of the stores function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Picking hardware and pyrotechnic components from stock using Kardex systems and pick lists
- Booking delivered goods into SAP accurately and efficiently
- Delivering materials and components to production and process areas
- Carrying out regular stock checks and inventory control activities
- Preparing, palletising and labelling products for shipment
- Completing shipping and dangerous goods documentation as required
- Supporting the management and organisation of stores and specialist storage areas
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and working in accordance with 5S principles
- Following strict health, safety and quality procedures at all times
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within a warehouse, stores, logistics or manufacturing environment
- Experience of stock control, goods in, goods out or materials handling activities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable following written procedures and work instructions
- Previous SAP experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Experience using warehouse management systems or Kardex machines would be beneficial
