Assembly Operative Final Assembly Location: Denham, UB9 Salary: £35,000 per year + possible overtime Hours: Full Time | Permanent Transport: Due to remote location of a business, candidates with own transport are preferred. An established and respected engineering company in the aerospace sector is currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join its Final Assembly team based in Denham. The Role: As an Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for the precise assembly and inspection of mechanical components including seat pans, main beams, guide rails, and seat survival kits. This is a hands-on role requiring accuracy, care, and a strong focus on safety and quality. Key Responsibilities: Assemble complex mechanical parts using technical drawings, specifications, and hand tools Conduct stage inspections and certify assemblies to technical standards Accurately record progress and component movement using SAP terminals Adhere to safety and quality protocols, including risk and COSHH assessments Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to high standards Requirements: Essential: Previous experience in a manufacturing or precision assembly environment Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Proficiency in using basic hand tools and general IT systems Awareness of FOD (Foreign Object Debris) and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) control GCSEs (Grades 3-7 or equivalent) Desirable: SAP experience Familiarity with Microsoft Word/Excel ESD training or awareness certification Whats on Offer: Competitive salary of £35,000 per year Potential for overtime earnings Opportunity to work in a highly regulated and respected engineering environment Ongoing training and development If you are a methodical, accurate assembler with good manual dexterity and a keen eye for detail, we would like to hear from you.
