Requirements
- Must have the ability to take on responsibility for your own workload
- Proficient using Microsoft Office systems including Word and Excel
- Good communicator, able to provide clear oral and written advice to field teams and management as required
- Organizing and planning skills to ensure work programmes are established and followed
- Able to work with a minimum of supervision
- Reliable, responsible, numerate and commercially aware
- Receptive to training and new ways of working
- Ability to work well under pressure
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Previous experience including fleet resources
- Previous experience in the transport, waste or logistics industry
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Support senior transport teams and liaise with internal departments to deliver operational and administrative services to customers.
- Logistics & Planning
- Assist in delivering planned and reactive services to industrial, commercial, and domestic customers.
- Monitor operational data, vehicle revenue, and identify areas for improvement.
- Support work planning and cover planning responsibilities in the manager's absence.
- Customer Service
- Handle service requests, provide advice and pricing, and coordinate resources to meet deadlines.
- Resolve complaints and issues professionally and efficiently.
- Work with internal departments to support customer service delivery.
- Data Processing & Administration
- Manage in-house systems and databases (Weighsoft, CTrack, Ortec, AAIR).
- Maintain office files and ensure all jobs are accurately documented.
- Oversee driver timesheets and hours in the manager's absence.
