Position: HGV SST Tanker Driver / Drainage Engineer
Location: Camberley Depot- MTS Yard 1, Lynchford Lane, Farnborough, GU14 6JD
Line Reporting Manager: Depot Manager
Hours: Monday - Friday, 06:00am - 16:00pm, 50 hour contracted week, 7/5 contract
Salary: £14.10ph / £36,660 annual basic salary. £21.15 overtime rate (paid for any hours worked over the 50 hour week) (Callout and night work bonuses). £45 night work bonus.
Call out bonus: £30 for a weekday, £45 per day on the weekend.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
- Being flexible in your approach to work and undertake ad-hoc duties when your vehicle is off the road or if you are required to assist other field teams
Roles and Responsibilities for HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Drive and operate specialist jetting tankers; Super Suction Jetting Tankers, Combination Jetting Tankers once training has been provided (Class 2, CPC required)
- Attend emergency call out situations dealing with sewer blockages, flooding and pollution
- Working on private and public land in strict accordance with statutory health, safety and environmental procedures
- Undertake vehicle checks at the start and finish of each shift
- Ensure that all jobs are documented correctly
- Report all defects, accidents and near misses immediately to Line Manager
- Maintain the drivers log book in compliance with MOT rules and procedures
- Ensure that the conditions of all PPE remain fit for purpose
- Keep the vehicle and equipment washed down on a weekly basis, free from rubbish in hose and tool boxes and the cab
- Attend training as and when required
Health & Safety for HGV Class 2 Driver:
Section 7 of the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) states the general duties of employees at work:
- To take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work
- To co-operate with their employer or any other person to enable that duty or requirement to be performed or complied with
Drainage Engineer (SST) Health and Safety Responsibilities:
- To understand and comply with the company health and safety policy
- To influence and promote a positive health, safety culture within the organisation and lead by example
- To ensure all works activities are carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with legislative, company requirements and the RAMS
- To carry out comprehensively and complete all company required site documentation
- Ensure VPRs are carried out and completed
- DRAs are to be carried out for every job and updated where required
- To report all health, safety and environmental incidents to the Line Manager within 2 hours of it happening
Qualifications / Competency for HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Class 2 Driving license and CPC
- Ability to take on responsibility of working within controlled guidelines and environmental regulations
- Able to deal with the public in a polite and friendly manner
- Able to work with a minimum of supervision and to receive instructions remotely
- Previous work involving liquid waste products in the water utility / environmental services sector is desirable
- Knowledge of safe working in streetworks preferred
