I am currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to join a well-established, forward-thinking main contractor with a strong regional presence and diverse project portfolio across commercial, education and public sector schemes. This is a key role within the production team, responsible for setting out, quality control and ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and in line with programme.

The Role:

  • Take responsibility for setting out and engineering control on site.
  • Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and QA standards.
  • Maintain accurate site records, as-builts and weekly measurements.
  • Support cost control through clear record keeping of variations and progress.
  • Liaise with project managers, designers and consultants to resolve technical issues.
  • Contribute to high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Support or undertake duties such as Temporary Works or Lifting Operations (training provided where required).

About You:

  • Degree / HNC in Construction or Civil Engineering (or similar).
  • Experience as a Site Engineer on building or civil engineering projects.
  • Confident using total stations and survey equipment.
  • Strong understanding of QA processes and site documentation.
  • Technically strong with the ability to read and interpret design information.
  • Proactive, organised and able to work independently or as part of a team.
