We are currently working with a growing construction contractor to recruit an Estimator due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work across Yorkshire and the surrounding regions. The business delivers a broad range of projects across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, refurbishment and civil engineering sectors, and they are looking for someone who can play a key role in supporting the pre‑construction team and helping secure future projects.
This role would suit an Estimator looking to join a growing contractor where they can take ownership of tenders, work closely with operational teams and progress within an expanding business.
What You’ll Be Doing- Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents
- Producing take‑offs and bills of quantities
- Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Supporting value engineering and cost planning exercises
- Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal teams
- Working closely with operational teams during handover stages
- Assisting with bid submissions and tender presentations
- Previous experience as an Estimator within a main contracting environment
- Experience pricing construction, refurbishment or civil engineering projects
- Good understanding of construction methods and sequencing
- Ability to interpret drawings and technical information
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Relevant construction qualification preferred
