We're working with a successful regional contractor looking to appoint an experienced Civils Estimator to join their West Yorkshire office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded contractor delivering a range of infrastructure and civils projects including highways, drainage, groundworks, industrial developments, utilities, and public realm works.
The role will suit an experienced estimator who is comfortable leading tenders, managing multiple bids, and working closely with operational and commercial teams to produce competitive and commercially sound submissions.
The Role:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
- Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation
- Carry out take-offs and identify project risks and opportunities
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Develop competitive pricing strategies and bid submissions
- Work closely with operational and commercial teams throughout the tender process
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as an Estimator within civil engineering, infrastructure or highways projects
- Ability to manage tenders independently from enquiry to submission
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Office
