The Job you will do:
- Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults and breakdowns
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and manuals
- Replace and fit components, including bearings, pumps, motors, conveyors, and gearboxes
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Complete maintenance records and reports accurately
- Support machinery upgrades and improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to minimise downtime
About you:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, apprenticeship, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in mechanical fitting or maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics and pneumatics
- Good understanding of health & safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
