The Company: Our client is a specialist in the manufacturer. Due to growth, they are now looking to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor.
The Role: Responsibility for leading and developing all warehouse material handling and logistics processes. Managing the day to day duties of the warehouse staff in the warehouse site. Responsible for matters relating to employees' role performance, training, goal setting, complying with site rules and regulations. Responsible for stock management and quality of product within the warehouse. Responsible for all health and safety compliance and requirements of the warehouse, including staff. Represent the department on the Health and Safety Committee as required. Perform routine safety checks in the warehouse including inspection of dock bays, eye wash, first aid kit, racks, fire extinguishers, etc. Overall responsibility for all aspects of the effective supervision, training and development of the warehouse staff team of around 3. Promote continuous improvement within the department. Ensure strict adherence to company processes and procedures as well as ISO standards. Responsible for overseeing and managing the daily work responsibilities of the warehouse staff. Responsibility for inventory control accuracy and counts. Liaise with Planning and Production to collate picking of raw materials for Production shop orders. Liaise with the Shipping Co-Ordinator to collate required picking list for shipping, including overseeing the accurate picking and recording of finished product for customers. Responsibility for 5S disciplines in the Warehouse area.
The Person: Previous relevant supervisory experience. Current counterbalance and reach truck licenses. Experience of training/developing staff. Experience in writing and implementing Standard Work Instructions. Strong people management skills, ability to make decisions, ability to use initiative, ability to implement and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Customer focused. Good level written and oral communication. Understand ISO9001 and GMP requirements. Good writing and computer skills required for keeping accurate records, writing reports and standard operating procedures.
