Our client are specialists in their market sector, they are now looking to recruit a Toolmaker/ Validation Engineer on a permanent basis, ideally candidates will have a tooling/manual machining background.
The Job youll do
- Creates test specifications and co-operates with internal/external stakeholders to evaluate and improve the intended product use.
- Design, setup and operation of test apparatus, covering mechanical, electrical and control related aspects.
- Evaluates and presents the results as well as providing input on improvements and solutions.
- Creates the respective reports and shares as required
- Assist in the development of validation programs for alternatively applied systems and subsystems.
- Supports the preparation of the test and the testing environment.
- Checks the test program and executes the respective sequences of tests
- Contributes to the collection of data and quality of the test results by providing informed feedback regarding the functionality of the tested system.
- Builds prototype components and assemblies via controlled and carefully recorded method
- Completes teardown and analysis procedures on post-test assemblies to understand and report on failure mechanisms
About You
- Suitable qualifications and or relevant experience in a suitable engineering field.
- Proficient skills related to mechanical, electrical and instrumentation disciplines.
- Proven experience in testing and fault finding.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite including excel, word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in completing data post processing and analysis is desirable.
- Experience working with CAN bus (Controller Area Network) based products is desirable.
- Experience in instrumentation and controls is desirable.
- Experience using manual machines (milling machine & lathe)
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal, able to work individually or in a team and able to communicate at all levels confidently
- To be approachable, collaborative and inclusive at all times
- Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team
- Reliable and flexible in their approach to everyday work requirements
