MTrec Recruitment are representing our prestigious manufacturing client in their search for an experienced and talented Senior Specification Technologist.

Do: Coordinate technical information from manufacturing sites and supply chain partners to produce accurate product specifications and product labels.

Create and maintain product specifications using a right-first-time approach, ensuring they meet customer expectations, legislative requirements and internal quality standards.

Track updates to customer specifications and UK/EU food legislation, communicating changes and evaluating their impact on products and manufacturing processes.

Maintain accurate specification records and ensure product development databases remain up to date.

Degree qualified in Food Science or a related scientific discipline.

At least 5 years' experience developing and maintaining food product specifications within the food industry.

Sound knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP methodology and quality management systems.

Good understanding of UK and/or EU food labelling regulations and legislative requirements.

Knowledge of food production processes, raw ingredients, allergen management and finished product specifications.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
