The Job you will do:

  • Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults and breakdowns
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and manuals
  • Replace and fit components, including bearings, pumps, motors, conveyors, and gearboxes
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Complete maintenance records and reports accurately
  • Support machinery upgrades and improvement projects
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures
  • Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to minimise downtime

About you:

  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, apprenticeship, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in mechanical fitting or maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Good understanding of health & safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
