The Company

This rare opportunity has arisen with our outstanding Cramlington based client. They are now looking for a motivated Maintenance Electrician to help their business grow and improve. This is an outstanding permanent opportunity for the ideal candidate to support the business needs.

The Role

  • Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times.
  • Complete planned preventive maintenance of equipment, tools and facilities.
  • Continue to develop the planned preventative maintenance procedures emphasising on breakdown prevention.
  • Install and/or modify equipment as required.
  • Conduct a root cause analysis of breakdowns and implement effective reoccurrence prevention plans using resource available.
  • Work as part of the maintenance team and demonstrate good communication skills in interfacing with other departments, suppliers, contractors and manufacturers as required.
  • Operating access platforms including scissor lifts and cherry pickers.
  • Use of PC for accessing information, emails and completing reports.
  • Train and mentor apprentices.
  • Ensure that you work in a safe manner and comply with the companys Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
  • Carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected.

The Person

  • The successful candidate must have experience in a high volume manufacturing environment, possess excellent communication skills and have an electrical background with a good working knowledge of PLCs.
  • They must also be organised, be self-motivated and have a hands on approach to problem solving with the ability to work alone as well as part of a team.
  • Normal hours of work are 37 per week and will be on a three shift system.
