The business is a well-established company and are looking to expand their talented quality team by recruiting a full time and permanent QA Technologist. The Job you will do:
- Drive continuous improvement across quality, cost control, waste reduction, and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safe working practices
- Complete customer questionnaires and prepare product specifications
- Support communication with suppliers, customers, and certification bodies on quality matters
- Coordinate audits and maintain accreditation standards
- Perform stock checks on quarantined materials
- Inspect retained samples and approve product release where required
- Conduct in-process quality checks across production
- Prepare compliance and analysis certificates
- Carry out laboratory testing (e.g., yield, seal strength, friction, solvent levels)
- Prepare and dispatch customer samples
- Produce internal and customer reports
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
- Manage customer complaints and response processes
- Hold quality review meetings and analyse trends in issues
- Conduct hygiene inspections and glass audits
- Maintain housekeeping and hygiene standards
- Deliver training on quality and hygiene procedures and keep records
- Support quality management systems, including traceability, recalls, supplier issues, and internal audits
About you:
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ideally you will be from a food manufacturing background or similar.
- It is essential you are experienced with BRCGS and HACCP
- High standards of personal conduct and professional performance
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Good team player; ability to work as part of a team and alone on own initiative
- Ability to think and plan ahead
