The Job you'll do:

  • Panel Repair: Straighten dents, shape metal, and repair damaged body panels using specialised tools.
  • Component Replacement: Remove and replace severely damaged panels, interior trim, and exterior parts.
  • Welding & Bonding: Execute precision MIG/TIG welding, spot welding, and structural panel bonding.
  • Preparation for Paint: Sand, fill, prime, and smooth surfaces to guarantee a seamless finish for the paint team.
  • Alignment Checks: Use jigs and measuring devices to check chassis alignment and ensure structural integrity.
  • Quality Control: Self-inspect all completed repairs to eliminate defects and maintain strict cosmetic standards.
  • Documentation: Accurately log completed tasks and report additional vehicle damage found during teardown.

About You:

  • Experience: Proven history as a Panel Technician within a busy automotive workshop or Bodyshop.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or ATA qualification in Vehicle Body Repair is highly preferred.
  • Certifications: Active Welding or Panel Bonding certifications are strong advantages.
  • Driving Licence: A valid, clean UK driving licence is typically required to manoeuvre auction stock.
