MTrec recruitment are representing our industry leading manufacturing client based in the heart of Midlothian. The business is a well-established company and are looking to expand their talented quality team by recruiting a full time and permanent HSE Advisor.

The Job you will do:
- Strive for continual improvement in the company’s Health and Safety and Environment performance
- Maintain compliance with the company’s Health and Safety (ISO45001) and Environment (ISO14001) accreditations
- Maintain sites risk assessment process and monitor completion of assessments and all actions.
- Record accident and near miss incidents; conduct investigations and report health and safety statistics monthly to senior management
- Chair monthly Health and Safety reviews and oversee action recording/completion.
- Conduct regular practice fire evacuation drills
- Maintain site fire safety procedures
- Maintain sites chemical usage, including completion of COSHH assessments and maintenance of MSDS
- Advise on personal protective equipment
Advice on the ability to work as part of a team and alone on own initiative. Ability to think and plan ahead. Reliable and flexible to manage changing priorities. Accurate with good attention to detail. A positive, proactive and constructive approach to problem solving.
