The Company
Our client is a specialist engineering company. Due growth they are now looking to recruit an Engineering Polisher.
The Role
- Will be working permanent day shift Monday-Thursday.
- Interpret engineering drawings.
- Polishing finished components to a range of standards including standard eighty-grit belt finish to sateen, super sateen and mirror.
- Use polishing equipment to polish radius of components.
- Use inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometers, PI tapes.
- Inspection of goods in, goods out, sub contract work and all purchased parts.
- In process and finished goods inspection.
- Process auditing.
- Signing first and last inspection reports.
- Reporting of non-conforming parts.
- Ensure zero defects reach end user.
- Entering technical data on to computer spread sheet package.
The Person
- Must have previous polishing experience in an engineering company.
- Experience of building special purpose equipment.
- Experience in engineering.
- Ability to read assembly/technical documentation such as drawings and work instructions.
- Adhere to manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP\’s).
