MTrec Recruitment's specialist manufacturing client is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support their global engineering procurement operations. This is a contract position with the option to extend or potentially transition into a longer-term engagement. The successful candidate will play a critical role in preparing, negotiating, and managing complex technical and commercial sourcing projects, particularly within engineering and capital expenditure categories. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, technical teams, and suppliers to ensure competitive, compliant, and strategic sourcing outcomes.

The Job You Will Do:
- Assist internal customers in preparing technical bid packages and service-level commercial requirements.
- Create and manage technical and commercial RFPs, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Conduct and support supplier and internal pre-bid meetings.
- Manage and respond to RFIs in collaboration with technical and legal teams.
- Perform technical and commercial bid evaluations and tabulations.
- Lead negotiations for both technical and commercial proposals.
- Partner with legal teams to support contract formulation (framework agreements).
- Oversee post-contract supplier follow-up to ensure performance and compliance.
About You:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a strategic sourcing role with experience in CAPEX.
- Proven ability to manage complex sourcing projects within technical or engineering categories.
- Strong negotiation, bid management, and contract development skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proactive, analytical, and results-driven, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
