We are looking for a Site Facilities Engineer to join our clients team in Cramlington who will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of all site facilities, utilities, and infrastructure. This includes planned and reactive maintenance of buildings, services, and plant to ensure business continuity, safety, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be an Electrically biased Engineer.
The Job you'll do:
- The repair and maintenance of facilities equipment including compressors, boilers, chillers etc.
- Ensuring all statutory inspections and preventive maintenance activities are completed to plan and all administration duties associated with these tasks are thoroughly closed out.
- Responsible for compliance with HS&E legislation and company safety procedures.
- Speaking to suppliers and manufacturers for ordering parts or for technical advice.
- Management of contractors on site including inductions and permits to work.
- Responsible for identifying potential energy saving opportunities and ensuring that projects are completed to plan.
- Ensure all documentation is maintained and stored correctly.
- Responsible for effective maintenance response and prioritisation of tasks to minimise operational downtime.
- Optimisation of preventive maintenance procedures for all facilities and associated equipment.
About You:
We are looking for someone who is a time served electrician (17th Edition +) with a sound knowledge of site facilities and equipment. Experience of managing contractors and compliance activities and being NEBOSH qualified would be desirable. If you have good organisational skills, are self-motivated and have a hands-on approach with a proactive and safety focused mindset we would love to hear from you! We ask that you work in a safe manner; drive positive behaviour and lead by example with regard to the company’s health, safety and environmental policies. This role will be on a full time, permanent basis working dayshift.
