MTrec Technical are representing our well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing client in their search for an experienced Goods In Specialist.

This role will be critical for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products into the manufacturing area and would suit those who enjoy working in busy, fast-paced environments

This role is working a continental shift pattern, and applicants MUST hold valid Counterbalance and Reach FLT Licenses.

The Job you will do

  • Operate manual handling equipment, including pallet trucks and forklifts, to move, load and unload materials.
  • Pick, prepare and organise inventory for operational requirements.
  • Transport materials between storage locations, work areas and designated operational zones.
  • Return unused inventory to appropriate storage locations.
  • Inspect items to verify compliance with quality and procedural requirements and report any discrepancies.
  • Verify that inventory information is accurately reflected between physical stock and system records.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate material availability.
  • Identify and escalate inventory discrepancies, labelling issues or stock variances through established procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in all physical and system-based inventory transactions.
  • Ensure loads are secure during receipt, storage and dispatch activities.
  • Receive, process and record inventory in accordance with warehouse management procedures.
  • Escalate delivery issues through established reporting channels.
  • Coordinate the return of damaged, non-conforming or surplus materials to suppliers where required.
  • Complete all required documentation and records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Support periodic inventory audits and stock checks.
  • Assist with waste management and recycling activities as required.
  • Maintain clean, safe and organised working environments always.

About you

Valid and in-date Counterbalance and Reach FLT Licenses are essential for this role.

  • Previous experience of working within goods handling, warehousing, or distribution is required.
  • Ideally, you will be from an industry with a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically Fit, and capable of manual handling where required.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and often in a time-pressured environment.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
