Our client are specialists in their market sector, they have an opening for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their energetic maintenance team on a permanent basis working day shift.
The Job you'll do:
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic, focused and committed team player with excellent communication skills to join our highly successful company. You should be familiar with working in a fast moving industrial manufacturing environment and ideally you will be from an industrial background and be prepared to work shifts, with some weekend work required as and when the business conditions dictate. You will also be asked to cover both pre-planned and reactive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery. We are committed to continuous improvement and encourage technicians to use their initiative to improve and develop equipment and processes. We are ISO 9001 accredited, deploy 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacturing throughout our operations and worldwide facilities and are committed to achieving external supplier quality excellence programs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as Drilling Machines, Presses, Heat treatment furnaces, shot blast machines, Automated powder paint plant and CNC machines.
- Rapid response to breakdowns on production equipment.
- Diagnostic and repair or replace of control devices such as motors, contactors and control gear, sensors etc.
About You:
- Time served Mechanical Maintenance Technician.
- Previous experience with electrical maintenance and or hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics.
- Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment (beneficial).
- Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
- Participates in plant health & safety and environmental programs.
- Work to PPM schedules and record results.
- Fabrication Skills.
- Exposure to Manufacturing Environment.
- Exposure to 6 Sigma and Lean Techniques.
